Not far from Spa Františkovy Lázně – Franzensbad lies nature reserve Soos. Area contains large peat bogs and moors, large number of mineral springs and pure carbon dioxide in the so-called Mofetas - mud volcanoes. The nature trail leads along the bottom of a dry lake, which contained salt (mineral) water.



Right next to the German border, a sports-demanding 18-hole golf course awaits you in Hazlov near Františkovy Lázně.

Kynžvart Chateau with its large park is located about a kilometer southwest of the town of Kynžvart Spa. At the beginning, from the end of the 16th century, there was a Renaissance fortress, the masonry of which was used for the construction of a Baroque chateau after less than a hundred years.

You can also see Metternich's office with a folding table, which served during the negotiations at the Congress of Vienna, the castle armory with 220 weapons or a cabinet of curiosities.

From May to September, the chateau is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm (lunch break from 12 noon to 12.30 pm), and in April and October only on weekends and public holidays. In other months, except January, the tour can be arranged in advance.



The Salingburg lookout tower can be found on the outskirts of Františkovy Lázně, next to the Pyramida Hotel. The view of the region is hindered by mature trees, but the lookout tower looks very romantic. The lookout tower is freely accessible.



Bismarck's lookout tower - Háj u Aše is a huge 30 m high tower. It was built in 1904 according to the project of architect Wilhelm Kreis. From March 26 to November 30 - 11:00 - 18:00. The westernmost climbing locality in the Czech Republic, made of pure quartz. The protected natural creation Goethe's Rock is the highest part of a quartz Czech rampart. The rock wall reaches a height of 3 to 15 m.
